Access

St Michael’s Church is situated in the hamlet of Aspley Heath, just under half a mile from the centre of Woburn Sands.

To reach the Church from the centre of Woburn Sands, travel up the High Street towards Woburn and take the third exit at the double roundabout up Church Road.  The Church is situated about a quarter of a mile up Church Road on the right hand side.

Church Road is a narrow road that leads to the Heath after a mile or so and there is no other way to access the Church by car.  The Church does not have a car park and parking is restricted to the right hand side of the road as you go up.

Parking congestion on Church Road can be a problem, especially when there is a large congregation is large. Please try to walk to church if you can or park in the car park in the centre of Woburn Sands and walk up the hill to church.

There is a small lane to the west of the Church called Bishop’s Walk that leads to a narrow, steep path with steps that come out at the bottom of Hardwick Road adjacent to Edgewick Farm.  People living in the area of Hardwick Road can use this path to access the Church via a gate into the graveyard at the top, but it can be muddy and slippery in the winter and should be avoided unless the weather is good.
