Funerals

At a funeral service we gather together to give thanks for a human life which has come to its close on earth, to comfort one another in our grief and to commend the person who has died to God’s keeping.  As we plan the service we will sit with you – for as long as you need and it takes – and work with you to make a personal and fitting tribute to the one you have lost.

Everyone living in the parish – of all faiths and none – has the right to a funeral in the Parish Church and burial in our beautiful churchyard, a real haven of peace and much loved and cared for.  We will also be pleased to take a funeral service at one of the local crematoria if that is your preference.
