WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: Friday 6th March, 7.00 p.m
Christian women in Nigeria invite us to join them for the World Day of Prayer on Friday 6th March this year. They have created a service reflecting on the theme, “I will give you rest,” which speaks to our need for peace and solace, drawing on their faith and experiences in this world filled with struggles and anxieties.
The first Friday of March each year, is a powerful demonstration of global solidarity and Christian community. The day begins with services in Samoa and moves around the world in a continuous wave of prayer of which we are invited to be a part. For several years Churches Together in our community has supported this service with members of the various church communities taking part.
Do please join us for an inspiring and uplifting service at 7.00 p.m on Friday 6th March, here at St Michael’s Church. Stay to enjoy Nigerian themed refreshments after the service.
